yes then definitely go with Arturia, i dunno the whole total max collection but from my experiences from the past there is so much bloatware and sampled material, with Arturia you get many FULL SYNTHS and some very nice effects too when you add FX Collection.I'm really intrigued by the Arturia Augmented Series, they look and sound amazing and I might just get the V collection based mostly on that. Definitely more of a synth person and I don't really care that much about third party effects plugins (especially the analog emulated ones - kinda hate those), as I mostly enjoy using Ableton Live stock plugins for that. For mastering, I have Ozone.compare the stuff included, what do you need? more sample libraries, a DLC plagued browser? bad customer service and annoying promotions and activation processes? take IK.
in my opinion take Arturia, i would prefer u-he and fabfilter before, but more expensive, they offer offline activation.
but out of these two, stay away from IKM, though total studio covers maybe more ground with its effects and various orchestral stuff, for synths though it seems to be lacking and Arturia gives you more.
depends really what you look for.
I think Arturia is the right way to go for me. I will also give me further discount on Pigments, which I can get for $69 now, but with V Collection X in my account, it goes down to $49.
with Ableton you should be heavily covered with FX, i stopped using Tracks as they are buggy and as i said their support is BAD and their products buggy etc. my experiences, just my opinion. Arturia is also much better with backwards compatibility so far!
